Well, I am sure that your Gauges are as faded as Bethlehem Graffitti?

If so, and you want a cool old school looking set of gauge faces, these Black and white decals will be right up your alley.
Made from modern sign vinyl, these puppies will take more UV's than than a drunk bum on a Santa monica beach.

I have designed these myself and they are easy to fit to your exsisting gauge faces, the cut outs are already done for you, all you do is clean your old faded ones and slip these onto the face and Bob's your uncle (Or Aunt).
I have sold a number of these and they are a great looking part and am really stoked you have given me great feedback about them already.
I am not a pioneer on these things, more likely pie and Mash, but, I know what I like and these really do make the bike look alot older than them "ORRIBLE GREEN SNOTTERS"

I have plenty in stock, and can provide them with or without CAFE on the face..
If you want to email me about this part, or any of my auctions. caferacer@socal.rr.com or failing that.

Sling some shrapnel in the ear trumpet and give me a holler!!!

OK! I have had a few requests, as to how the heck these fit onto the gauges.
So, I have done my best to explain the way I fit these, and hopefully under this guidence and photo's etc, you should have no worries with this, study the pics and if I was you, print the page out, that way you can just have a look and go back to the decal.
Right, you have some decals that badly need a freshen up, your old ones are either faded, or you just dont like them.
If you are wondering how the heck you get these things apart, all will be revealed.
First thing I do once I have the gauges on the table is.

I Personally remove the Lower Chrome gauge bases, this is easily done, using a 10mm wrench or socket.
Once that is done and the rubber grommets, washers and nuts are in a safe place, the Chrome base will pull away from the Gauge.

I remove the wire harness , so I do not damage anything.
I then, turn the gauge over and then you have the top, the glass and everything still in one part.

Look at that chrome trim ring, it is only going to come off if you have a dremel, and what I do, is carefully dremel the band until it opens up.
Simply remove and keep to one side.
Sometimes a small Box cutter blade will release the seal.
Once this is done, the top will remove, it may take some persuation, but it will come off, sometimes the rubber seal holds it on.
Personally I snot that seal right off.

Now that is done and the black cup, glass and green inner liner is off, you will have the gauge looking at you.
I use some long nose pliers and remove the needle, as these are a press fit.
Some are real easy to remove, but most are on there harder than glue on a priority mail envelope.
Pull the needle off, being carefull not to bend it.

BEWARE!!!!! if you pull the needle at the wrong angle, you WILL break the needle and the Gauge is useless.
So, be careful.
I fit mine in a vice that roatates and then once I snug the Cluster in the vice, I move it towards me, then with some small vice grops I click on the needle and pull towards me.
This seems to be the trick.

some people make a flat pice if steel and cut a Vee groove in it and insert it under the needle.
But I pull mine.
If you know another way, then have at it, let me know how you get on.
But I am not responsible if you break your needle.
Just take it easy.
Once you have the needle off you then have it easy.

As you are left with 2 small phillips screws, simply remove them and the Gauge Face will come off.
I use soapy water and clean the gauge and then, Ispray again, so I have a small amount of water on there for the guage decal to be able to slide around for a bit.

Once you have done that, remove the appropriate decal, this is sticky, but the water will allow you to be able to position this pretty acurate.
The holes in the guages will automatically come out, when you pull the decal away, the 3 tiny holes also should, but sometimes they can snag a tiny bit and a Bradel or pointed instrunent will get it off easy as, I have done about a dozen of these already.

Line the holes up and one of the speed increments, i use the top of about 75MPH and then position, the water will allow you to move this and when you are happy, simply squeege the water out and she will be done.

Simply screw the screws back, add the needle, maiking sure it is positioned close to Zero, and then put the top and glass back on.
I then use a dab of glue to hold the top on and then I use a big hose clamp and secure the ring to the gauge body with a spot of good old JB weld, in the tubes.
Tighten the hose clamp until the Chrome ring is snug and tight, and then leave over night.

In the morning, simply remove the hose clamp and then you can add the Chrome lower half, but make sure you replace the wire harness you took out, its only 2 bulbs.
On the Speedometer with the trip, you MUST remove the Black knob.

I do this by using long nose pliers, whilst pushing the rubber grommet back and the pliers holds the trip shaft, then, turn the Black plastic knob Clock wide, not counter clock, and this knob will unscrew.
I destroyed one trying to turn it the conventional way, so now I know.
Also, you can heat the needle with a soldering iron, this way it will help expand the needle pointer and should easily pop off.
Just don't tug away, as the pin will break off and the speedo drive unit will be about as much use as a hacksaw in a Glass shop.

OK, that should sort you out, you can email me with any other questions if you so wish.
Many people have used mine and had no worries, if there is a problem I can sort it, but I have been more than happy with all my guages so far and I will be designing many more, so keep checking the website for updates etc.
I am still a one man band, others are shipping stuff over sea's and just trying to coin it in, but this is all my stuff and I enjoy what I do and, I know you love to use my parts.

Good luck and enjoy.
Remember that other years change on the trip and the mile ometer, some even have a drop down leg, so make sure you send me a pic of your Gauges, so I can see what rectangle I have to cut.

Remember to let me know what color and what design you want when you order, if you like, you can email me after the order and send me a pic of what you want on the Gauges.
caferacer@socal.rr.com will get you to me.
